How it works
One board per event. Everyone sees the same seats, drivers, and riders.
1. Coach creates the team
Name the team, add the next practice or game. Takes about a minute. You get an invite link and a short code.
2. Parents join by link
Tap the link, enter your email, tap the sign-in link we send. Add your kids once. No password, no app to install — it works in Safari and Chrome. (You can “Add to Home Screen” if you like an icon.)
3. Fill the carpool board
- Offer seats: “I can take 3 kids, round trip, leaving the north lot at 8:15.”
- Claim a seat: pick your kid, pick the car. Seats left updates for everyone. If the car is full you join the waitlist and move up automatically.
- I need a ride: your kid shows under “Needs a ride” so drivers can take them.
The coverage meter at the top — “6/11 kids have rides” — tells the coach what still needs solving.
4. Game day: the Live Window
Optional, and off until someone turns it on. Before a game or a field trip a coach can open a window — a start time, an end time, and a question to each adult: share your location for this event? You can decline, and decline is the same size as Accept. While it is open the coach sees the cars that agreed, and which kids each one is carrying. At the end time it switches itself off.
What a coach never gets is standing access. There is no button anywhere in CleatShare that shows where a child is, and once a window closes there is no screen that shows where anyone was — not for the coach, not for anyone. That is the difference between this and sharing your location with someone directly. The full rules →
